One thing to note is, to use GCam on your device, you need to have the support of camera2 API in your device. You can check the internet to know if your device already supports it or not. You can also enable it manually in some devices from developer options in the settings menu or through many other ways. To know how to enable Camera2 API for your specific, you can search on YouTube.
To use Gcam, it is mandatory to have camera2 API support in your device.
There are two ways that I use for installing the GCam for my Redmi Note 4.
Method 1: Using GCamator app on my Android
You can download the GCamator app from Google Play Store and check if your device has Camera2 API enabled, and download GCam, all of this, directly from the app.
Here are the steps to use this app.
Step 1: Go to Play Store and download GCamator app.
Step 2: Open the app and tap on Camera2 API option to see if your device supports it.
Step 3: Tap on Your GCam option and the app will show you the supported version of GCam and download the GCam apk for your device.
Step 4: Install the GCam apk you downloaded and you’re done!
