Challenges for Micromax In Devices
Some challenges stand for Micromax that it has to face and deal with if it wants to take back its market share.
Customer Service
Poor customer service is one of the biggest problems that Micromax had to face back in the days when it was on the top. This time, it will be more than important for the company to improve the same.
Bad customer service directly affects the returning customer as she/he loses credibility over the brand. Hence, it is a very important factor to consider when planning a comeback in the market.
Value for Money Devices
We Indians are very particular about the price. Hence, if a smartphone company wants to survive in the Indian market, it will have to provide a good value product.
The value-for-money factor is a game-changer in the budget category within ₹ 15,000 range. The same is to be taken care of by Micromax if it wants to stay relevant in the market. People buying smartphones in this price range tend to go for a good and value for money product that fulfills their needs the most and that too, at a lower price.
Plus Points for Micromax
Not everything is difficult for Micromax in the smartphone market. There are certain things that are in its favour and can be a game-changer for Micromax.
Made In India & Anti-Chinese Sentiment
Chinese companies were flourishing in India quite well before the Chinese army decided to meddle with the Indian borders near the Ladakh region. After the incident, the strong anti-China sentiments increased.
Further, mischievous actions by companies like Xiaomi, Realme and other companies added fuel to the fire. These companies used to give intrusive ads and also did not oblige to the government’s order of removing banned apps from their device.
Such actions only increased the need for a good non-Chinese brand to take the spotlight away. Samsung, instead of providing better devices and taking advantage of the situation, started introducing overpriced and outdated smartphones to garner higher profits from the anti-Chinese sentiments.
Such a situation is perfect for an Indian brand like Micromax to take the leap and regain its 5-year old lost market share.
Better UI (Stock Android)
User Interface (UI) is another thing that has put Micromax in an advantageous position. Unlike other companies such as Xiaomi, Realme and other Chinese apps, Micromax will provide stock Android in its devices.
Providing stock Android will ensure that the device works smoothly and also, there will be no ads hindering the experience. A pure vanilla experience is going to be an important factor in Micromax’s success.
Conclusion
Looking at the current scenario, it can be said that Micromax has an excellent opportunity to regain its lost throne in the smartphone market. If the company does what it claims it would, then it can surely be a leader in the market like its good old days.
Personally, if you ask me, I will buy a Micromax product if the company provides an experience that is better than the Chinese competitors.
Every Indian would love to buy a good Indian product if it is provided at an affordable price.
We hope that Micromax creates such a market that Chinese companies become better in their practices which will overall be beneficial for the Indian customer.
