Final Conclusion
As we can see, the devices with Mediatek processors rule this space. The Snapdragon-based devices are a little less in numbers in this price range but they are pretty good. Snapdragon devices are cooler while gaming whereas Mediatek are better in gaming but get a little more heated up as compared to Snapdragon devices.
Please note that I have mentioned features that are important for gaming hence things like camera, design etc have not been mentioned.

All in all, it is up to you which device you want to buy for gaming. There are cheaper devices than the ones mentioned here but their performance is not good in PUBG Mobile if compared to the devices mentioned in the list.
These devices include smartphones such as Redmi 9, Redmi 9i, Redmi 9A, Realme C12, Realme C15 etc. All these devices come with cheaper Mediatek processors such as MediaTek Helio G35 and MediaTek Helio G25 that can run PUBG Mobile at 30 FPS, but with many lags and freezes.
